The thermometer may still be showing winter, but spring will be here before you know it! Get a jump on these home maintenance tasks now (or as soon as weather allows), and you’ll be ready to relax and enjoy the return of sunshine and warm breezes when Mother Nature sends them our way.

1. Replace batteries for smoke and carbon monoxide alarms when you change your clocks to “spring forward.”

2. Have your air conditioner inspected and serviced and replace HVAC filters.

3. Prepare garden beds for spring planting by removing weeds, loosening compacted soil, and applying organic fertilizer as needed.
