Cara Treybal, Bank President of Northwest Bank in Ankeny, is pleased to announce Derek Phillips has accepted the position as Private Banker in Ankeny. Derek specializes in promoting bank products and services and tailoring banking solutions to meet customer needs.

Phillips received his Bachelor of Science degree from Faith College, along with a minor in youth and counseling. He has been in the banking industry for over twelve years. Before joining Northwest Bank, Derek served at Central Bank as a branch manager, specializing in treasury management and fostering banking relationships.

Derek and his wife Aimee reside in Ankeny, and they have three grown children. He enjoys serving the community and is currently a Deacon at Soteria Church in West Des Moines, volunteers at Sunny View Care Center in Ankeny, teaches financial literacy classes for Junior Achievement and officiates local junior high and high school basketball games. In his free time, Derek enjoys spending time with family, working on home projects, grilling, playing basketball and pickleball.
