With 30+ years of financial services experience and an understanding of community banking, Richard specializes in building lasting retail and business relationships within the community. Prior to joining Northwest Bank, he was Bank President for First American Bank in Boca Raton and led a commercial banking team in Boca Raton, FL. Richard is deeply involved in the community and served on the Board of the Ankeny Community School Foundation in 2021 and 2022, is an active member of Ankeny Rotary, was treasurer for the Central Iowa Boy Scouts for 6.5 years, is a volunteer fundraiser for Ankeny Chamber, and a representative of Northwest Bank for the Ankeny Economic Development Corp. His past involvement includes board chair for both Living History Farms and Central Iowa Red Cross.
