An adjustable-rate mortgage (ARM) is a loan with an initial fixed interest rate that can adjust throughout the loan term. They are portfolio loans that are designed to assist borrowers that may not qualify for a traditional mortgage due to unique scenarios. Homes for Iowans

The Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) offers this program which provides borrowers with $2,500 for down payment and closing costs assistance to eligible first-time and repeat home buyers who are purchasing a primary residence in Iowa and meet household income and purchase price requirements. Optional Grant or $5000 second mortgage with no monthly repayment.
